Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a field-oriented engineer to support the ONR Expeditionary Robotics program. You will train personnel, operate and troubleshoot unmanned systems (USV/UGV/sUAS) in lab and field environments, and contribute to ongoing experimentation and exercises.

The role requires FAA Part 107 licensing, willingness to travel (~35%), and the ability to work in austere environments for extended periods. A Secret clearance is likely required.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 drone license required.
• Willing to travel and work in austere environments.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems in lab and field.
• Experience with autonomous systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possess user and instructor level knowledge of USV, UGV, and sUAS.
• Modify, maintain, operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair Unmanned Systems (UxS).
• Assist with inventory, packing, and movement of equipment for experiments or field exercises.
• Provide feedback to technology developers on usability and applicability of tested technologies.
