Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in robotics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in robotics, ML, or control algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in robotics hardware/software stacks (ROS/ROS2) and programming (Python, C++).
• Experience implementing and evaluating end-to-end robot learning systems.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• System Integration: set up robots for real-world deployments with edge compute and sensors.
• Model Deployment: deploy AI models on hardware; lead field deployment and evaluation.
• Experimental Design: design, execute, and analyze experiments with hypotheses.
• Data Engineering: design data collection routines for high-quality data from field tests.
• Technical Literacy: understand model architectures and their effects on real-world performance (vision/ML for robotics).
• Systems Optimization: account for bandwidth, compute, and latency; optimize for edge devices.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with AI and Simulation Engineers to transition techniques to the field.
• Platform Growth: translate field learnings into scalable GRID capabilities.
