Job summary

RES Home Care in New York seeks a Field Registered Nurse to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate healthcare services for a Licensed Home Care Service Agency. The RN will open cases, supervise aides, and orient staff and client care.

The ideal candidate is NYS-licensed and graduated from an approved nursing program, with the experience or advanced degree requirements listed. Flexible work location and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• NYS is licensed and currently registered as a registered professional nurse.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Two years as a supervising community health nurse or two years of home care nursing experience plus a master's degree in nursing, public health, business administration, or another health-related field.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the agency.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating healthcare and professional services of the Licensed Home Care Service Agency.
• Oversee the opening of cases, the supervision of aides, and the orientation process for both employees and client care.
