Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Rigger for a project in Lebanon, IN. Candidates may be considered for benefits after 3 months and must follow SIC safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities include selecting rigging gear, attaching loads, directing crane operations, and maintaining strict safety standards on site. This role involves significant travel and exposure to industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Responsabilités

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
• Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Direct Crane Operator using hand signals, loudspeaker, or telephone to ensure safety.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment according to visual signals and directions.
• Identify and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
