Job summary

2020 Companies is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to visit local retailers in the Boston market, educate merchants about the client’s financial services, and strengthen brand presence. You will manage a busy daily route, build merchant relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience across locations.

This field-based role requires daily travel, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while meeting territory goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
• Reliable transportation within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store.
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met.
• Field-based position with daily travel within your assigned territory.
• Approximately 22-35 retail visits per day depending on geography and scheduling.
• Mix of in-store engagement, driving, and administrative follow-up.
• Independent work style with strong support from leadership and training teams.
