Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field specialist to support invasive plant management in Florida parks. You will identify non-native species, coordinate with park teams, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles used in surveys.

You must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, operate 4x4 trucks and ATV/UTVs, and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. Valid driver's license required and knowledge of local plant communities preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Florida natural communities, including both native and non‑native plants.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in natural resource survey.
• Strong trailering experience and skills with equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to operate 4x4 trucks and ATV/UTVs in variable terrain.
• Ability to perform field work in varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Work to accomplish annual invasive plant management goals by identifying and removing non‑native plants.
• Communicates and coordinates treatments with park team.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment and assigned vehicles.
• Track daily progress on data sheets and enters into database.
