Description: This position is for Yakima WA or the surrounding areas. You will be servicing the eastern portion of Washington.

We are seeking a Field Resource Specialist to support electrical compliance and supervision in Washington State. This role is ideal for a certified electrical professional who is passionate about regulatory adherence, training validation, and quality oversight in a field-based environment.

Position Summary

The Field Resource Specialist provides on-site supervision and observation of limited energy electrical work performed by *** Field Service Technicians within the State of Washington. This role ensures all work is conducted in compliance with Washington State electrical laws.

As the designated certified electrician, this position is responsible for supervising electrical trainees, validating qualifying work hours, and supporting affidavit documentation required for Washington electrical certification. This is a compliance-focused, observational role that does not require direct hands-on equipment servicing but must meet all legal supervision requirements under Washington law (RCW 19.28 and WAC 296-46B).

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Provide on-site supervision of Field Service Technicians performing limited energy electrical work, ensuring compliance with Washington State electrical regulations
  • Maintain required same-jobsite supervision, including adherence to state-mandated supervision presence and ratios
  • Confirm that all observed work aligns to the appropriate electrical scope of work for the relevant certification category (e.g., 06 Limited Energy)
  • Validate whether tasks qualify as electrical work under Washington law, including low-voltage, signaling, or power-limited systems
  • Escalate, restrict, or halt work that exceeds the allowable scope of the supervised certification type
  • Maintain or support accurate and detailed logs of supervised electrical work hours for Field Service Technicians, categorized by specialty
  • Ensure all recorded hours:
  • Are performed under proper supervision
  • Align to the correct electrical specialty classification
  • Meet Washington Labor & Industries (L&I) documentation requirements
  • Support preparation and validation of Affidavits of Experience for submission to Washington L&I
  • Partner with Electrical Program Administrator and trainees to ensure accurate and timely hour submission. Capture customer and service information required to support accurate invoicing.
  • Support audit readiness and ensure adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards
  • Identify and mitigate compliance risks
Basic Qualifications
  • Active Washington State Electrical Certificate of Competency in:
  • 06 Limited Energy System Specialty Electrician (required; scope must align to role responsibilities)
  • Ability to legally serve as a supervising electrician for trainees under Washington State law
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Washington electrical laws (RCW 19.28) and rules (WAC 296-46B)
  • Supervision requirements, trainee ratios, and compliance standards
  • Experience maintaining accurate documentation, logs, or compliance records
  • Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supervising electrical trainees or field-based technicians
  • Familiarity with Washington Affidavit of Experience requirements and specialty hour tracking
  • Experience working with low-voltage or power-limited systems
  • Background in compliance, audit, quality assurance, or regulatory oversight environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
