The University of Georgia is seeking temporary research technicians for a trout fishery project in the Athens area. This field-based role supports a collaboration with GA DNR and the Warnell School, assisting with creel surveys and electrofishing alongside graduate students and staff.

Ideal candidates have a BS in fisheries or related fields, strong field experience, and the ability to work long hours outdoors, including weekends or holidays.

Competenze

• BS in Fisheries or related field with demonstrated aquatic field experience.
• Practical field crew experience in aquatic ecosystems and data collection.
• Valid US driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles in Georgia.

Mansioni

• Provide field and technical assistance; contribute to field data collection involving boat electrofishing and angler surveys.
• Maintain rigorous data collection and integrity standards; coordinate and prepare for field activities.
• Enter data and complete QA/QC for project datasets.
• Assist graduate students and researchers on a GA DNR collaboration project.
