Job summary

Sensis in Austin, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Field Researcher for an upcoming project. You will conduct in-person interviews and intercept surveys at clinics, transit stations, and community centers, collecting data on tablets and ensuring confidentiality.

Ideal candidates are bilingual (English/Spanish) with strong communication skills, able to work weekends or evenings, and comfortable representing the organization in public spaces.

Qualifications

  • Must be available for flexible hours, including weekends or evenings.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (outdoors sometimes).
  • Experience in fieldwork or canvassing is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred or required depending on target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Attend in person training (before 9/28).
  • Conduct in-person interviews or intercept surveys at assigned locations (clinics, transit stations, community centers, events).
  • Approach and screen participants based on target criteria (age, demographics, behavior, etc.).
  • Collect accurate data using digital tablets.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality per project protocols and privacy standards.
  • Report daily progress (number of completes, location updates, and issues encountered).

We’reseekinga detail-oriented and motivatedField Researcher to support an upcoming research project.This role is ideal for someone interested inoutreach, user research, or community-based research, and who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Attend in person training (w.o. 9/28)

Job Demands:

Schedule:
