Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking a part-time undergraduate student to join the Field Crops Weed Science Program. You will assist with field, greenhouse, and laboratory research, gaining hands-on experience in weed science, crop production, and agricultural research.

The schedule is flexible during the academic year (up to 24 hours per week) with potential increases in summer. Responsibilities include data collection, sample processing, and maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard.
• Undergraduate student: 6 credit hours per term.
• Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term.
• Graduate student: 5 credit hours per term.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field and greenhouse research, including setup, maintenance, data collection, and harvest.
• Assist with laboratory work, sample processing, and data entry.
• Maintain clean and safe research areas and equipment.
• Follow research and safety protocols.
