Job summary

Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) in North Chicago, IL, seeks a full-time Research Assistant to support a DoD-funded multi-site study on urinary biomarkers of bone adaptation. You will oversee participant logistics, field data collection, biospecimen handling, and data quality across sites, with travel to partner locations as needed.

Under supervision of senior researchers, you will ensure protocol compliance, maintain records, and assist with HR-pQCT/DXA imaging

Qualifications

• Experience in health science or related field.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain records.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate participant logistics across study timepoints and sites.
• Support IRB-approved recruitment, consent, and screening.
• Perform field-based data collection and biospecimen handling.
• Label, store, transport, and track biospecimens with chain-of-custody.
• Enter and verify study data; perform quality checks.
• Maintain regulatory and study records; ensure confidentiality.
• Prepare and maintain study equipment; manage inventory.
• Manage scheduling and logistics across sites; coordinate calendars.
