Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Renewable Energy Technician to perform preventative maintenance on wind turbines, photovoltaic plants, and storage systems at our Rosamond, CA site. You will troubleshoot and repair under supervision while following safety protocols.

Training includes a mandatory three-week program in Albert Lea, MN; travel and expenses are provided. Requirements include a high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 2 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Must possess a valid current driver’s license.
• Requires basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of wind turbines/pv power and energy storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on wind turbines, utility scale photovoltaic power plants and storage systems.
• Under supervision, performs troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to equipment in the renewable industry.
• Completes Job Safety Assessments and follows LOTO plans & procedures, identifies safety hazards and suggests improvements.
• Participates in the 24hr/weekly On Call rotation and works outside business hours when needed.
• Attends safety and technical training required for this position.
• Documents completed jobs and completes daily work orders and other project paperwork.
