Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Field Reliability Engineer to improve reliability of multiple EVs in the field and enhance customer experience. You will monitor field performance, analyze failures, and implement design changes to drive reliability growth.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 2+ years in reliability engineering, with knowledge of PCBA, battery systems, drive units, and statistical methods. Onsite in California with potential limited remote work.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
2+ years of industry reliability engineering experience.
Knowledge of reliability statistics & life data analysis.
Experience with problem-solving methods (FRACA/8D) and RCA tools.
Python programming knowledge.
Experience with reliability software (JMP/ReliaSoft/MATLAB).
Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (SEM/CT/X-Ray/EDS/TDR).
Experience deploying reliability testing guidelines.

Responsibilities

Monitor field performance and identify failure trends; track reliability growth.
Validate usage vs rider profiles; develop damage metrics for failure modeling.
Collaborate with Service to build a common service platform and data for complaints and parts.
Develop MRB process for disposition and conduct failure analysis of returns.
Define ongoing reliability testing (ORT) plan.
