Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate provider offices within a multi-state territory, focusing on access and reimbursement topics for client products. This role requires engaging with healthcare staff and aligning with payer policies to improve patient access.

The candidate will travel up to 80% within North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, including overnight trips, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reimbursement challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience in revenue cycle, buy and bill, formulary, benefit investigations, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Deep understanding of medical and pharmacy benefits/policies.
• Ability to conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and consultation to key account customers and cross-functional partners.
• Travel readiness with extensive travel; overnight trips may be required.
• Bilingual abilities are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff and managers on logistics to support client products, including buy and bill processes.
• Explain payer coverage strategies, including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization and appeals.
• Identify root causes of access or reimbursement issues in offices.
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites of service.
• Support information on reimbursement topics related to client products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
