Job summary

Kura Sushi USA is seeking a Recruiter based in Irvine, CA. This role focuses on recruiting hourly and management staff for new store openings and existing restaurants, partnering with Operations and restaurant managers to source, interview, and hire talent.

Heavy travel (35%–45%) is required, with on-site work at least one day per week. The position emphasizes education, training, and compliance, and offers comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred.
• Strong recruiting and talent selection background, ideally in restaurants or foodservice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interpret policies and enforce procedures.
• Experience building recruitment processes and solutions.
• Knowledge of behavioral-based interviewing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be highly organized and proactive.
• Team-oriented and hospitality-focused.
• Shows initiative and urgency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations and Recruitment to support hourly and restaurant management recruiting.
• Plan and execute recruiting strategy to meet hiring goals with quality hires.
• Conduct education and training on hourly recruiting and selection for restaurant management.
• Maintain recruiting goals and timelines aligned with company growth.
• Develop sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for current and future needs.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
• Arrange interviews, travel, lodging, and tours as needed.
• Create recruitment reporting metrics for periodic review.
• Travel to store openings to recruit and onboard new employees (35%-45%).
