Job summary

StaffSource is seeking a Hardware Technician to join our team in Seattle. You will assemble and test cameras, sensors, embedded computers, and access control devices, ensuring reliability and quality in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll solder, fabricate cables, and help document procedures, while supporting inventory and logistics for field deployments. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hardware or electronics tech roles, hands-on fabrication and soldering experience, plus familiarity with CAD

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Hardware/Manufacturing/Electronics Technician or similar role.
• Hands-on mechanical fabrication, assembly, and prototyping experience.
• Experience soldering, rework, and assembling electromechanical systems.
• Familiar with test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly docs.
• Experience in manufacturing environments or labs.
• Comfort with computer-based tools for manufacturing/testing.
• Exposure to CAD drawings and hardware design files.
• Basic command-line skills and terminal tools.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and test electromechanical hardware systems.
• Perform soldering, cable fabrication, and rework as needed.
• Follow manufacturing and quality procedures for reliability.
• Maintain assembly docs, test records, and procedures.
• Create and update hardware assembly instructions and docs.
• Manage inventory of components, tooling, and lab supplies.
• Assist with incoming inspection and material tracking.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and root causes.
• Identify process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate packaging, shipment, and logistics for deployments.
