Job summary
The Communications Systems Engineer will lead design, development and maintenance of various technologies needed for communications systems on construction projects in the United States. This includes CCTV, access control, intercom, AV, and fiber network infrastructure.
You will prepare design calculations, technical reports, and specifications, perform field surveys, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors to deliver compliant, constructible designs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in one or more low voltage communications systems (CCTV, access control, PA, intercom, AV, fiber/copper networks, SCADA).
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD/Revit and design calculations.
- Engineering degree or 4 years of relevant experience; EIT and PE goals preferred.
- Experience with transportation communications systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development and maintenance of communications systems across multiple technologies.
- Produce design calculations, reports, plans and specifications.
- Perform field surveys and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure designs are constructible, compliant with drawings, specs and contract requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to project team members and assist in schedules and deliverables.
