Job summary

The Behaviorists in Miami, FL seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA interventions for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Working under a BCBA, you will implement treatment plans to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors in homes, schools, clinics, or community settings.

Requirements include active BACB RBT certification, a high school diploma, and ability to travel to client locations up to 18 miles from home.

Qualifications

• Active BACB RBT certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children with ASD or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and obtain CPR certification.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by the BCBA to promote skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Work one-on-one with clients in home, school, clinic, or community settings.
• Timely and accurate data collection and progress tracking.
• Help clients improve communication, social, daily living, and academic skills.
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage crises safely.
• Assist families by providing strategies to reinforce skills outside of sessions.
• Communicate with BCBAs, teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent implementation of interventions.
• Follow BACB guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and company policies on ethical compliance.
