Job summary

Standard Nuclear is seeking a Radiological Control Technician to support its radiological protection program. The role involves radiological surveys, contamination monitoring, and field support across manufacturing, laboratory, and controlled areas.

The technician will work with EH&S, operations, engineering, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure safe execution of work involving radioactive materials, in line with site procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical, trade, military, or associate degree preferred.
• Experience as Radiological Control Technician or similar radiological field role preferred.
• Completion of DOE Core Radiological Control Technician training preferred.
• Radiological Worker training or ability to obtain site-required radiological qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiological surveys, including area, contamination, and equipment release surveys.
• Provide job coverage for work in radiological or controlled areas; monitor radiological controls and PPE compliance.
• Establish contamination control boundaries and postings; assist with decontamination and waste control.
