Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Site Quality Manager to join the Field Operations Team on field/project based work across our sites. You will manage daily quality control activities, coordinate inspections, and ensure adherence to project quality plans.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 100% of the time. Visa sponsorship is not available, and candidates must meet our industrial construction qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of three years construction experience OR five years with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.
• Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of the quality control program.
• Attend project pre-construction meetings to discuss the QMS Program and review Lessons Learned with subcontractors.
• Train team members in the use of the quality control program and support question resolution pertaining to the program.
• Perform administrative setup of projects within the quality program database and assist in audits of the program.
• Ensure the quality program provides fair and effective monitoring of the organization’s quality.
• Conduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure quality controls are in place and report findings to the Project Team.
• Perform QC inspections of installations to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Inspect products, materials, and equipment on site for contract compliance.
• Coordinate sampling of work with testing timelines to prevent delays.
• Maintain the Jobsite Test & Inspection Plan and logs, updating changes promptly.
• Create and maintain an approved Project Specific Quality Control.
