Job summary

SST Direct seeks a Construction Quality Inspector to support field quality execution for HTGR reactor construction in Orangeville, Utah. The role ensures work aligns with drawings, specifications, procedures, and traceability requirements in active construction environments.

The position requires a high school diploma, ability to read engineering drawings, and willingness to work extended hours in regulated settings. Training on quality standards and field execution will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and controlled documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational discipline, and willingness to operate within regulated procedural environments.
• Comfortable working within active industrial construction environments including outdoor conditions, elevated structures, confined spaces, noise, dust, and changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection and verification across construction, fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and field execution.
• Verify activities are performed per drawings, specs, travelers, work packages, and controlled docs.
• Assist with inspection hold points, witness points, turnover docs, material traceability, and controlled work execution.
• Maintain inspection records, verification docs, traceability, and quality docs for audit readiness.
• Elevate discrepancies, missing docs, workmanship concerns, or deviations to Quality leadership.
