Job summary

Valar Atomics in Utah is seeking a Construction Quality Supervisor to lead field execution of the construction quality organization for HTGR reactor deployment. You will supervise Construction Quality Technicians and Inspectors, coordinating across geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and industrial trades.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial construction quality execution.
• 5+ years leading field quality personnel, inspection teams, or construction quality execution activities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work packages, procedures, inspection requirements, and controlled documentation.
• Familiarity with construction verification activities, inspection methods, material traceability systems, turnover documentation, and regulated quality systems.
• Comfortable working in active construction environments with safety protocols and extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution activities for the construction quality organization supporting reactor construction, infrastructure installation, fabrication, assembly, testing, and controlled field execution activities.
• Supervise Construction Quality Technicians and Inspectors while reinforcing disciplined execution and traceability integrity.
• Coordinate inspection activities, witness points, hold points, turnover documentation, and verification workflows across multiple trades.
• Provide quality oversight of subcontracted construction activities across geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and industrial operations.
• Ensure records, material traceability, inspection documentation, as-built conditions, turnover packages, and controlled execution documentation remain audit-ready.
• Support investigation and resolution of nonconformances, discrepancies, contractor quality concerns, and technical documentation gaps.
• Collaborate with construction management, engineering, supplier quality, craft labor, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure defensible quality solutions.
• Identify emerging execution risks and traceability gaps before major impacts.
• Mentor field quality personnel and help establish scalable QC standards and verification discipline.
• Participate in subcontractor quality system audits.
