Job summary

HNTB is seeking an Inspector to perform daily construction inspection and documentation for projects in rocky Hill, CT. You will monitor contractor work for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions, and maintain daily logs of activities, labor, equipment, and materials.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of construction-related experience, plus relevant certificates. Strong Office skills and ability to interpret schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
• Recognizes and escalates discrepancies within documents.
• Interprets schedules to provide feedback.
• Operates testing equipment to assigned duties.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Calculates complex pay quantities.
• Identifies, documents, and escalates change conditions.

Responsibilities

• Observes and documents contractor work to ensure compliance with plans.
• Performs standard calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintains inspector daily reports of activities, labor, and equipment.
• Performs on-site material testing and creates as-constructed sketches.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
