Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Quality Specialist to coordinate, document, and report quality control and assurance activities on heavy civil and transportation projects. You will witness inspections, prepare test reports, and maintain quality records in a field or shop setting.

The role requires willingness to travel/relocate as needed, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and a proactive, safety-focused mindset. You will work with operations to develop work packs and ensure contract compliance across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field with 0–2 years of experience.
• Familiarity with construction quality control procedures is preferred.
• Certifications such as ASQ, CQM, CQA, or CWI are a plus.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope, quality requirements, and applicable quality plans.
• Coordinate inspections and tests to align with schedules and production goals.
• Report client concerns with transparent quality communication.
• Develop work packs with inspection and testing documentation in collaboration with operations.
• Review work packs for readiness before pre-activity meetings and construction execution.
• Manage source and receiving inspections for materials and equipment.
• Evaluate supplier quality documentation for contract compliance.
• Monitor costs for third‑party inspection and testing services and report trends.
