Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Field Quality Inspector for a position located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Field Quality Inspector will inspect completed construction to assess compliance with the specifications and drawing requirements as per construction standards.

The candidate must be a US citizen or a green card holder; this position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have at least 7 years of related experience in quality roles and procedures.

Note: Local candidates or those open to relocation. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain consistent communication with engineering teams and supervisors both in the office and remotely.
• Conduct field assessments of infrastructure, including poles, wires, and electrical equipment, providing information on constructability, heights, topography, and feasibility.
• Meet with stakeholders before, during, and after project initiation to discuss constraints impacting project health, such as existing infrastructure and land considerations.
• Use measurement tools like the "IKE" device to capture field measurements for engineering teams.
• Coordinate with NM 811 to locate underground utilities.
• Document existing conditions with photos and reports for engineering review.
• Review quality assurance documents for compliance.
• Attend pre-construction meetings as a representative of the client and engineering staff.
• Perform document control audits on field drawings and test records.
• Follow client standards and design guidelines for quality assurance during construction.
• Meet with customers to discuss projects and relay information to design teams.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements and hold necessary licenses and certifications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to company policies.
• Serve as a coordination point between work crews, engineers, and customers.
