Job summary

TrueNet Communications is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect client and internal work, ensuring compliance with specifications. You will use OTDR and other testing equipment, interpret blueprints, and document findings for supervision.

Role requires reading technical docs, Excel proficiency, and the ability to travel up to 100% to field sites. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for timely, accurate inspections.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in telecom, construction, or utilities industries.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with Windows and Android; Excel emphasized.
• Able to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Must operate testing equipment such as OTDR.
• Experience with a major MSO or Telecom Operator preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned work locations for compliance with client or company specifications and guidelines.
• Inspections may include but are not limited to work safety, installation, and troubleshooting compliance.
• Use appropriate testing equipment based upon client specifications.
• Assist in preparing and developing inspection instructions and procedures.
• Develop and create project specific checklists and standards.
• Record and document inspection results and findings in applicable data sheets and forms.
• Complete and submit inspection documentation to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
• Ensure completion of inspections in a timely manner and track/report activities and metrics.
• Drive safely to work sites and comply with all company/client safety standards.
• Follow company/client standards by using related technical documentation.
• Deliver feedback and supplemental training to employees/contractors as required.
• Other duties assigned.
• Travel to work sites up to 100%.
