Job summary

UES is seeking a QC Manager to lead and coordinate QC technicians and FDOT projects. The role requires overseeing schedules, plans, safety, and daily paperwork on sites across transportation projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in QC, valid driver’s license, and ICC/EIT credentials with strong math and blueprint-reading skills. Overnight or weekend support may be needed to meet project goals.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in QC management for FDOT or transportation projects.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Active ICC Certifications (Masonry, Soils, Spray-Applied Fireproofing, Post-Tension, Concrete) or EIT licensure; CWI preferred.
Strong math, time management, and problem-solving skills with emphasis on quality.
Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, and reports.

Responsibilities

Perform QC Manager duties per FDOT 105 specification.
Compile logbooks, QC plans, and job guide schedules.
Provide project management and contractor quality control for FDOT projects, including budget review and contractor communications.
Identify safety concerns on project sites.
Coordinate personnel and equipment with branch.
Turn in required paperwork daily.
Attend regularly and be flexible for changing schedules; weekends/overtime may be necessary.
Other duties may be assigned.
