Job summary

Colonial Group in Phoenix, AZ seeks a capable field technician for water well pump install and removal projects. You will operate and service trucks, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps and related equipment to support a crew on-site.

Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision, lift 60 pounds, hold a Class B CDL, and be willing to travel and work outdoors in extreme weather. Background and drug tests are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift and move 60 pounds.
• Stand and walk for major portion of shift.
• Work near vibrating equipment and moving mechanical parts.
• Adequate mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Willing to work long hours including weekends.
• Class B CDL required or obtainable.
• Willing to travel and spend time away from home; outdoors in extreme weather.
• Be dependable, reliable, honest and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication with employees, customers and vendors.
• Construction and welding experience preferred.
• NCCO Crane Certification (Fixed Cab).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to operators on water well pump install and removal projects
• Operate and service trucks, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps and various other types of equipment
• Work as part of a crew but also expected to work without supervision to accomplish task if required
• Complete basic daily paperwork
• Driving as needed
• Other duties as required
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must pass background and drug test.
