This mobile, field-based role will investigate and respond to child protection concerns, often away from the office, involving frequent travel and collaboration with families, schools, and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in social/human services, or related field.
• Experience in social, human, or protective services preferred.
• Knowledge of CPS policy and procedures; strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine causes of abuse/neglect and assess risk to children.
• Collaborate with families to address needs and ensure safety.
• Enter data and narratives into agency system within required timelines.
• Maintain effective relationships with families, CPS staff, law enforcement, and courts.
• Attend training/meetings and participate in team activities.
• Perform other duties to maintain unit operations.
• Respect cultural diversity in interactions with families and partners.
• Attend work regularly per agency leave policy.
