Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Field Property Claims Adjuster to travel to insured homes within Beacon Falls, CT and nearby areas, assessing damage, explaining coverage, and guiding customers through the claims process. You’ll work in the field daily, coordinating repairs and providing empathetic support to homeowners.

You’ll participate in a 5-month training program with mostly virtual learning, some in-person sessions in Lewisville, TX, and limited overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of directly related experience.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate onsite to assess damage and prepare repair estimates.
• Handle moderate to complex claims from first notice of loss to final closure.
• Work in the field daily and occasionally from a desk.
• Explain coverage and assist policyholders with itemization of damages and living arrangements.
• Coordinate vendor services for repairs and related needs.
• May be called upon for catastrophe duty.
