Job summary

Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. is seeking a Field Property Claims Adjuster to meet homeowners in their homes across the Wisconsin territory. You’ll assess damage onsite, determine repair needs, and guide customers through the claims process with empathy and clarity.

Travel is typical within the local territory, with a five-month training program and mileage reimbursement. A sign-on bonus is offered for experienced hires who are licensed.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently while exercising good judgment.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with multi‑faceted systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate onsite to resolve complex coverage and damage issues, including estimating repairs.
• Handle moderate to complex claims independently from first notice of loss to final closure.
• Work in a vehicle daily in the field and occasionally from the desk.
• Explain coverage of loss, assist policyholders with itemization of damages and emergency repairs.
• Coordinate vendor services such as contractors and emergency repair teams.
• May be called upon for catastrophe duty.
