Job summary

BurnBot seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, place-based forestry and prescribed-fire projects in Tuolumne County and surrounding communities. You will coordinate between field operations, agency partners, and subcontractors, ensuring work is on time, within budget, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

The role is hands-on and field-forward, with 70–80% site presence and 20–30% remote work.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of project or field management in forestry, fuels reduction, or related field.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to remote job sites.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
Familiarity with ANSI A300 requirements.
Proficiency with MS Office and virtual meeting platforms.
Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Manage BurnBot’s CWDG Project in Columbia/Yankee Hill and Cedar Ridge with stakeholders and governance.
Review parcel prescriptions and preliminarily assess feasibility and contract compliance.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets from award to closeout.
Support field verification and participate in proposal scoping.
Track quality control and contract compliance across internal and subcontractor operations.
Ensure OSHA compliance and BurnBot safety standards on all sites.
Serve as primary point of contact with agency partners, clients, and subcontractors.
Attend public meetings and represent BurnBot as needed.
Maintain regular field presence and adapt plans for changing conditions.
Identify and manage costs; monitor expenditures throughout the lifecycle.
