Job summary

Colonial Pipeline Company seeks a Project Inspector for our Field Projects team to ensure safe, compliant execution of pipeline, facility, tank, and related infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with contractors and internal stakeholders, championing safety, enforcing standards, and ensuring work is completed with integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ideally 5+ years as an Inspector in oil & gas.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%.
• Strong understanding of pipeline, tank, and terminal regulations.
• Familiarity with coatings, hydrostatic testing, NDE, and welding procedures.
• Advanced safety knowledge, especially excavation and shoring.
• Proficiency with computers and smart tablets.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Safety - enforce Safety Awareness Manual requirements and Life Safety Rules.
• Identify, report, and help prevent near misses.
• Provide oversight for pipeline, facility, and tank projects with minimal supervision.
• Uphold regulatory requirements, complete required training, and maintain OQ credentials.
• Maintain accurate project and compliance documentation on time.
• Verify tools & materials against engineering standards.
• Communicate progress, issues, and updates to stakeholders.
• Be prepared to support emergency response with required certifications.
