Job summary

TIC is seeking candidates for a hands-on field engineering role in our Power market, with opportunities across district offices and on-site construction sites. You will support field and office engineering tasks, including document control, takeoffs, and coordination with subcontractors, while traveling/relocating to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' field experience in electrical, mechanical or piping within construction or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Assist in managing the Document Control procedure in the field.
• Perform quantity calculations and determine completed/installed materials and work.
• Assist in preparing work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevation and control points.
• Support quality inspections and maintain the quality plan.
• Assist in daily labor timesheets and cost calculations.
• Participate in safety reviews and meetings.
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Plan and coordinate work groups on site and supervise field operations.
• Assist in managing subcontractors.
• Assist Engineers with data gathering for submittals and transmittals.
• Prepare documentation for weekly and monthly reports to management.
