Job summary

Epstein is seeking a Project Field Engineer to join our growing Construction team. This role is onsite at major construction projects across the United States, supporting the Site Superintendent and Project Manager to maintain schedules, budgets and quality.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years field experience, a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent, and working knowledge of field practices. Procore and OSHA 30 (preferred) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of field experience on large projects for a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
• Bachelor Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and procedures.
• Working knowledge of general engineering principles and construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing.
• Knowledge of basic scheduling techniques (i.e., Critical Path Method).
• Ability to interpret construction documents.
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Procore (preferred).
• 30 hour OSHA certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains and enhances client, subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Assures construction schedules are maintained by trade contractors.
• Updates and reviews project and 3-week look ahead schedules, daily reports, safety checklists, and ensures onsite adherence to company policies.
• Coordinates the construction sequence of contractors for assigned trades.
• Maintains quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work in progress and completed projects.
• Prepares daily photos of construction progress.
• Maintains construction safety and administers company and OSHA compliance program.
• Supports and coordinates interface between design and field construction.
• Maintains updated set of site drawings.
• Prepares required field documentation and reports (monthly, weekly and daily).
• Resolves field coordination issues among contractors.
