Granger Construction, a longstanding Dearborn-based firm, is offering a field-based Assistant Project Engineer Intern role on the Henry Ford College campus in Dearborn, MI. Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to lead by example.
• Proactive problem-solving and self-starter mentality.
• Willingness to learn new software; ability to adapt to projects.
• Must be able to work full-time.

Responsabilités

• Support project managers and field teams by assisting in project documentation, scheduling, and coordination of daily activities.
• Review project drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.
• Track and document project progress, including daily logs and material deliveries.
• Participate in on-site meetings to gain exposure to real-time problem-solving and decision-making.
• Assist in preparing RFIs and submittals to keep milestones on track.
• Contribute to maintaining project safety standards by observing on-site conditions.
• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, supporting procurement and logistics activities.
