Job summary

TIC is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer for its Power District operations. The role involves field and office engineering tasks across electrical, mechanical, and piping scopes, with regular relocation to align with project needs in North America.

You will assist in document control, cost tracking, safety, and coordination on major EPC power plant projects. Relocation-friendly role requiring 3+ years of field experience and strong drawing interpretation, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' field experience in electrical, mechanical or piping within construction or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Field Engineering: interpret drawings and specs for field crews and craft supervision.
• Assist in managing field Document Control procedures.
• Perform quantity calculations from measurements and completed work.
• Prepare work plans and work packages.
• Support field surveying and as-built data collection.
• Ensure quality inspections are conducted and sign-off docs are collected.
• Assist in daily labor timesheets and cost calculations.
• Prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHA’s).
• Participate in job site safety reviews and toolbox meetings.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups.
