Malcolm Drilling is seeking a driven Project Engineer for a San Marcos, TX project. The role offers hands-on experience in heavy civil construction, deep foundations, and geotechnical engineering while working alongside industry leaders.

You will gain exposure to field operations and site oversight in a dynamic team environment. The position emphasizes field work (90%) with some office support, travel to multiple job sites, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.
• Recent graduates are considered for this role.
• Must be well organized, responsible, reliable, punctual, and eager to learn with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites within the district and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with takeoffs and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Study drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
• Assist the site Superintendent with quality control measures.
• Record and verify on-site activities and production summaries.
• Work 90% in the field and 10% in the office.
• Understand and help implement required safety measurements.
• Attend company-wide training.
