Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Field Project Engineer-Data Centers to manage remote and on-site projects, provide technical support, installation and sales support for mission-critical generators.

Responsibilities include upfront system design input, bid submission, and project management through installation and commissioning, interfacing with dealers, engineering firms, electrical and general contractors, and property owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of relevant experience in power generation equipment installation and operations.
• Willingness to travel domestic 25% to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead project scope definition and objectives per project type and complexity.
• Prepare project schedules based on scope of work and plan.
• Track deliverables to meet contract commitments and timeframes.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on strategy, adjustments and progress.
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.
