Job summary

PE Services in Minnesota is seeking a Project Engineer to lead construction administration, inspection, and materials testing across projects. This role is 100% in the field during construction season.

You will plan, supervise, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, deliver records and reports, and oversee on-site tests such as soil compaction and concrete. Requirements include civil engineering or construction mgmt degree with 7+ years experience and 5+ years leadership;

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent (7+ years) work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in related roles including leadership and team management.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, applicable codes, policies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with construction methods and methodologies.
• Ability to deliver reports that meet company formatting, language, and technical content standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams on infrastructure contract administration.
• Lead regular communication with the project manager, contractor, and stakeholders to ensure project quality.
• Perform detailed records of inspections and test results for project documentation and historical reference.
• Perform and verify field measurements of completed tasks on the projects for reports, records, and payment.
• Perform and generate project reports, pay application vouchers, and other project specific documentation and reports for clients.
• Oversee and manage on-site material tests such as soil compaction, aggregate, and concrete.
