Job summary

Avanti Restaurant Solutions Inc in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Field Project Manager to support the installation of commercial kitchen equipment on active construction projects. You will work under the guidance of Project Managers to perform field verification, site readiness checks, equipment layout confirmation, and coordination with installation vendors.

This developmental role helps you learn kitchen construction sequencing and jobsite coordination, with potential to manage smaller projects

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma, but prefer undergraduate degree.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction, equipment installation, field coordination, or related work.
• Preferred: experience with commercial kitchen equipment installation or foodservice construction.
• Preferred: familiarity with MEP systems (electrical, plumbing, gas, ventilation).
• Preferred: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field measurements and site verification to confirm equipment layouts and installation conditions align with project drawings.
• Verify MEP rough-ins, utilities, and clearances against kitchen equipment plans under PM or Senior Field Manager guidance.
• Identify discrepancies between plans and field conditions and report findings to the project team.
• Document field observations through reports, photos, and notes for internal project coordination.
• Inventory equipment during installations on site and notify management of missing/damaged items.
• Assist with verifying equipment layouts, trim, fillers, and field adjustments prior to installation.
• Maintain field presence during major equipment deliveries to verify equipment condition and document shortages or damages.
• Support installers by coordinating site readiness and layout clarification.
• Coordinate between equipment installation and surrounding trades (electrical, plumbing, gas, ventilation).
• Participate in equipment startup, training, and installation completion documentation.
