Job summary

McCoy Group Services, LLC in Alexandria, LA, seeks a Project Controller to oversee the financial performance of assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost tracking, billing, forecasting and reporting. You will partner with project managers, field teams, and finance leadership to support informed decisions and maintain strong financial controls.

Responsibilities include budgeting, tracking labor and costs, reviewing invoices, and preparing forecasts and month-end

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or project management systems.
• Prior experience working closely with project managers or operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, including setup, monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Track project costs, labor, equipment, and expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Assist with preparing WIP schedules and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Prepare and review client billings, invoices, and revenue recognition in accordance with contract terms.
• Analyze project financial performance and provide regular reports to project managers and leadership.
• Identify financial risks, cost overruns, and opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and contractual requirements.
• Reconcile project accounts and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audits by providing project documentation and financial support.
