About the Opportunity:
Oxford Instruments is seeking a Field Process Engineer to support the installation, optimization, and customer acceptance of plasma processing systems within semiconductor and advanced materials industry. This role is critical in ensuring our plasma processing tools meet customer specifications, supporting troubleshooting, and providing training. The ideal candidate will have a strong semiconductor process engineering and solid knowledge of software systems for service management, deployment, and programming skills, technical problem-solving skills, and experience working with plasma etch and deposition systems in a very fast paced environment.

About the Candidate:
The Right Candidate will be a self-starting, diligent and enthusiastic team player, who is able to work independently and manage their own time. The FPE should be highly innovative and have good lateral thinking skills for identifying opportunities for technology development applications and is focused on excellent customer service. You will have proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize semiconductor processes and excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train and support customers
Hands-on experience with plasma-based processing tools in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced materials, or related industries is required; along with strong knowledge of vacuum systems, RF power supplies, gas flow control, and plasma physics and solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems for tool control and server management; Proficiency in Python, C++ and scripting for process automation and data analysis
