Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. is seeking a field service technician to repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and allied machines in the field. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, prepare equipment for delivery, and communicate findings to clients and management.

Occasional overnight travel and overtime are required, with a focus on safety and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, service reporting, and learning Empire/Caterpillar procedures.

Qualifications

• Must communicate information, instructions, and explanations clearly to associates, clients and management.
• Demonstrated technical skill competence in troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems and ability to operate diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Maintain good client relations and support marketing objectives.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Maintain company equipment in good, clean condition.
