Job summary

ERLPhase Power Technologies Ltd seeks a Technical Services Engineer to manage all technical aspects of customer interfaces. Based in Houston with global teams, you will apply expertise in electric power system protection and automation to support sales, training, and field installations.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 4–8 years’ experience with relays and recorders, along with EMTP, load flow studies, and protective relay knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• 4–8 years’ experience with relays and recorders.
• Knowledge of electric power systems and protective relay practices.
• Experience with EMTP, load flow, and short-circuit analyses.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Help customers apply ERLPhase products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
• Meet with customers to determine feature sets needed and relay to Marketing.
• Provide support to customers with application notes, conference papers, demo sessions, and Webex.
• Contribute customer service information to strategic plans and reviews.
• Assist in preparing and presenting proposals for ERLPhase products and systems.
• Be a secondary customer contact on technical matters.
• Participate in training and assist installation, commissioning and operation of systems (on-site and from offices).
• Participate in industry technical meetings such as NASPI, IEEE PSRC.
