Interstate Power Systems in Cedar Rapids, IA is expanding its team and seeking experienced Field Power Generation Technicians/Mechanics to service, maintain, and repair diesel-driven generators in the field. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in industrial power generation, owns tools, and can troubleshoot diesel and natural gas engines, switchgear, and transfer switches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial power generation sets.
• Own a set of general tools.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engines, electrical switchgear, and transfer switches.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair generators from various makers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and on-site repairs at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair generator, engine, and switchgear components.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate with customers.
• Meet certification requirements and adhere to safety standards.
• Perform administrative duties related to the role.
