Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an Electrical Power Generation Preventative Maintenance Technician to support Caterpillar power systems in the field.

You will install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain engine and electrical systems, and manage start-up of generators, transfer switches, UPS, and switchgear. Ideal candidates have 3 years of EPG field experience, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and excellent communication. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three (3) years of EPG field experience or accepted alternate
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment mechanical drawings
• Excellence at managing customer relationships and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support for on-site facilities through technical evaluations, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
• Repair and maintain reciprocal engine based power generation/Industrial Systems throughout the territory.
• Provide guidance and training to service technicians and customers as requested.
• Explain and defend warranty decisions; generate and communicate service bulletins to customers and office personnel.
