Job summary

IES is seeking a Journeyman Plumber to perform plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair on residential and commercial projects in Dayton, OH. The role emphasizes independent execution within safety standards and codes, while supporting field operations and delivering quality workmanship.

You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and coordinate with field personnel to ensure timely project progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of plumbing trade training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and work orders to complete installations accurately and efficiently.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install plumbing components in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues and assist with identifying and resolving installation or operational concerns.
• Coordinate with field personnel, supervisors, vendors, and internal departments regarding job progress, material needs, and project updates.
• Maintain accurate work orders, installation documentation, and jobsite records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, plumbing codes, and standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
• Provide professional customer interactions and maintain positive working relationships on jobsites.
• Assist with training and supporting entry-level technicians as assigned.
