The Field PLC Specialist role strengthens our controls capability in Kansas City, MO, combining field service with advanced PLC skills to troubleshoot, program, and optimize PLC‑controlled equipment on site for food production facilities.

The ambassador of Frontmatec diagnoses complex automation issues, mentors field technicians, and supports product improvements while traveling up to 70%

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or automated production engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of PLC programming and troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
• Field service or commissioning experience preferred in sanitary manufacturing environments.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose and resolve complex controls issues on PLC‑controlled equipment and drives at customer facilities, on site and remotely.
• Program and modify PLCs, VFDs, HMIs during service interventions, upgrades and retrofits.
• Support installation, commissioning, startup, tuning and optimization under production conditions.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment at customer sites.
• Read electrical schematics, interpret manuals, and feed back improvements to Engineering.
