Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a Field Piping Designer for the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on design and drafting of mechanical/piping systems with field input and client coordination.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in piping drafting, an associate degree in engineering technology or CAD, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation. On-site startup support and site visits are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD.
• 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation proficiency required.
• Knowledge of piping materials, supports and restraints.
• Ability to estimate completion of assigned tasks and read P&IDs/GA drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop the design and drafting of piping drawings from P&IDs and GA drawings.
• Perform field design work to assess conditions and locate new systems.
• Plan and manage site design activities for optimal results.
• Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Provide on-site support during startup.
